So I Broke Another Heart Today by Holly H DunneThrough icy eyes i watch my hands
Take yet another heart and hold it close to my own
Just for a few fleeting moments
Before the razor sharp edge of my embrace
Slashes right through it
And the pieces fall to the ground
On my kness once more
i gently pick them up and offer them back to the owner
But i cant bring myself
to look at my reflection in his eyes
I know what i would see:
An ice queen who breaks hearts like a sick hobby
But that mirror in his eyes only shows whats outside
How could i love another when my heart is stained
With forgotten red wine kisses
Which one spilt from your lips. 07/25/2006 Posted on 07/25/2006 Copyright © 2024 Holly H Dunne
