rock 'n' roll suicide*

by Vere Mantratriad

time is a cowardly match
for a couple encased in cold
rightfully scorned and
beating each other to the
punch out dolls that they’ve
been told are the model for
society’s breakthroughs
still, one can not be blamed
for trying to accomplish
what was boasted as
never-ware and scars
won’t ever wash off
when they’re acquired
by pushing away

A great song from a great album, Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars. Fascinating how you've applied the title to your own experiences. Kudos!
