Crazy Glue

by Junemarie Roldan

Once I was happy

Before I met you

And got myself together

With an ounce of Crazy Glue.

And once there was a time

When I thought the sky was blue

And in my magic kingdom

There was room enough for two.

A time so long ago forgot

That even Crazy Glue must rot

Till seeping out each pasted pore

I lay undone there on the floor.

Author's Note: The first stanza of this was written for Joyce. The one psychologist who actually helped me do the hardest thing I ever had to do in order to put myself on the road to recovery. The second stanza was for my favorite brother Bobby who killed himself a week before his 30th birthday. The third stanza is self explanatory.
