The desire of the heart

by Keith D Allison

My lady, if it be true
That flow of my quell
Has touched your breath
Then I am humbled

Truly, I but wish
That I would be so elegant
A spinner of words
The weaver of sweet deceptions

That I might spread a gossamer cloth before you
Too takes your breath away
But alas, it can’t be true
For I only returned your lyric to you

For hang here in a cloud of dream
Longing for your word wrapped in a sweet scents
That I might bathed in the depth of your glow
To feel the warmth of your essence around me

I love the near sonnet feel of this. Enjoyable read, Keith. Thanks.
