In My Father's Arms

by Charles M Harrison

In my father’s arms
is a most comforting place.
I know when I am troubled
there I can hide my face.
I know when I am sad
he will lift me up.
When I thirst for a drink
he will fill my cup.
In the darkness when I am afraid
he will bring a light.
He will hold me close,
comfort me and take away my fright.
In my father’s arms
I can plainly see,
All the love he has to give
is waiting there for me.
I can think of no other place
that I would rather be.
Than looking into my father’s eyes
with his arms all around me.

Another loevly tribute... there's just something about your father's arms that make them better than any place in the world.
