Bewteen Malmö and Copenhagen

What a marvel to travel above
The ancient site of wars
Among Danes and Swedes and others
To control this vital naval passage

Why do we commemorate these old times
With tales and music and ceremony
While peace reigns in The Baltic
Except for mild jibes at cultural differences?

Do we yearn for the Viking adventure?

I think so …
