Do You Think of Me and Cry

by Thomas K. Hunt

From the day you said good-bye

I’ve wondered

Do you think of me and cry

Am I ever the star

From a movie in your mind

Do you still hold a reason

A time from another time

Am I even a memory

A smile that you may find

I’ve wondered

I’ve always wondered

Will you even see me

When I lay my eyes on you

I’ll feel the connection

I wonder about you

Just to hold you

At least hold your hand

Let you feel my love

I wonder, would you understand

Just to hear you

If only for a day

I have this need to know

How you’ve made your way

Would you turn and go

Like you did before

I wonder if you know

Now I need you more

I wasn’t just wondering

It’s every passing view

My hopes and dreams

All images of you

A constant from the day you said good-bye

I’ve wondered

Do you think of me and cry

um, you've written my thoughts and my worries and my wonderings... a great piece, capturing the many questions that plague the one that is left.. great write!

Thomas, this is more than a poem..it is a song. Really wonderfully expressed.

Honest and straight from the heart. You pose a question we all do at one time or another. Great job.
