Playtime by Kate DemereeMerrilly, we're walking, tripping down the street,
While the rock we're kicking is dancing at our feet
This time we have is prescious, worth more than any gold
Two fools playing in the street, an odd sight to behold
Laughing, and loving and giving not a care
Who cares who is watching? Someone's looking? Where?
Come on baby catch me...you can do it, don't you know?
Smile me one of your sweet smiles and hurry not to grow
For when you are grown you'll need these memories,
So come let's make another laughing through the trees
Hurry now, you'll catch me...Run a bit faster Little Miss,
Look Out...Wow! I got ya! Now I can steal a sweet kiss!
Your eyes are smiling brightly, You're a wonder to behold
They are the mirrors of your soul, or so I have been told
The tiny bow that is your mouth, curving at the ends
Bestowing all your love upon, and looking for more friends
The angels on your shoulder, who are guarding you my dear
Have their work cut out for them, need reinforcements near! 05/16/2006 Author's Note: *laughing* My daughter and I were playing a game of street hockey, kicking a rock and having such fun when I wrote this. It is nice to re-read with the edits my dear friend Lida helped me make. I thought I would share this with you... my friends online

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 05/17/06 at 02:15 AM This 'street'seems like the street of life, the space time continuum, we all have to traverse through we know as life. And what a wonderful way to move on this 'street'!'Merrilly, we're walking, tripping down the street.....Laughing, and loving and giving not a care'. Yes, 'This time we have is prescious, worth more than any gold'...here lies the msg. Life is synonym of time, so....'So come let's make another laughing through the trees'...'Wow! I got ya! Now I can steal a sweet kiss!'yesyes, kiss of sweet LIFE.

Posted by Rula Shin on 06/02/06 at 01:22 AM How very wonderful this piece is! I see all the beauty, all the light, all the fun and laughter and joy of LOVE BEING in this very moment...reflections of each other dancing in the sun, their beings singing in harmony with each other, smiling love. An eternal moment of pure lightness of being. High marks! |

on sweet melancholy, and this melancholy junkie, thanks you over and over for his daily fix.
