I Wish by Joan SerratelliI wish I could
take back the things
I wrote- I can't
I wish I could
take back the things
I said- I can't
I wish you could
forgive me for
what I did- you won't
I wish we could
trust each other
again- we can't
I wish I could
stop crying and start
living again- I can't
I wish I didn't
love you so much
but the truth is- I do
I wish we could
go on from here and
forget the hurt- do you? 05/05/2006 Author's Note: This is for my daughter, who I love more than life itself! All I can say is "I'm sorry".

| Posted by Rula Shin on 05/05/06 at 02:54 PM Well I see so many questions which have been prematurely answered in the negative when the suggestion COULD be a positive one instead, "I CAN...WE CAN" etc. Usually one can't expect a positive response from a negative suggestion, but in any case this does express the sentiment of "sorry" and "I wish" that comes with a typical hefty dose of emotionalism though gets us from nowhere to nowhere very fast. That's what I saw. |
