They Smile Love

by Rula Shin

Our eyes are soft
Even when the language of
Word expresses not

They look away
As she speaks over her Self
When I am not
They may as well be shut

Our eyes smile Love
Even when the language of
Touch expresses not

They embrace
As silence spells Our Name
Open awake this very moment
Love, they smile love

I love when this happens…when cherishment delivers its beauty with ne'er a need for words.
* twinkling my eyes upon yours * :)

This is beautiful, and it has an interesting rhyme to it.

I really like the positioning of the stanzas here, and the similar messages especially in the 1st and 3rd. Just when you think you've read it all as far as Love is concerned, something new comes along. Thanks for reaffirming my faith in Love poetry Rula.

as i've come to learn, the eyes are the very windows into the soul and what one can not express in word or deed, one can express in a look or a glance.. this is just beautiful
