~Together~

by Joan Serratelli

They would be together
until the end of time
~Because~
Being apart was
far too painful
They had tried that
(more than once)

They had gone through
so much together
~And~
weathered every storm
(too many to count)

They would choose
to go on as one
~And~
Die in each other's arms
(til death never would they part)

"they would choose to go on as one" - this poem speaks of years together, decisions made, resolve, and maturity.

What a wonderful choice they made! What a beautiful tender picture you've painted. Most enjoyable read.

"until the end of time" and assuming more storms are to follow. Love this little tangle Joan

Our liberation is bound up with once another anyway, so honor the commitment and celebrate the togetherness! Nice, Joan! Thanks.
