I thought I saw
him yesterday
But it was just
a dream

I reached out
for him
But he wasn't
really there

I spoke to him
he answered me
I was just happy
he was near

But when I awoke
I knew
That he was
never really there

The dream was so vivid
so real
I wanted to go back
to sleep; to be with him
once more
