Enter the World

by Joe Cramer

I always thought that I could write
Though it sounded stilted, contrite.
At least I knew that I could read
While I watched my soul slowly bleed.

All these thoughts, placed in a book
Penned to a page, oh, take a look.
Poetry is how I enter the world,
If I could be so very bold.

We bleed on every piece of poetry we write. So true. And the last two lines ... fantastic!

I love this....I think its something every writer feels, and very indicative of how our pages reflect our inner selves.

I wamyed to see more of your writings, opened this up and see I have already rated it some time ago. I now want to comment, this is one of those describing me very well. So this moved me quite a bit. Good show!
