They Moved Poetry

by Joe Cramer

They moved the poetry section to the back of the Bookstore.
Shoved it aside, actually deliberately.
Now, was poetry such a bore?
Who could find it, without a map, who could see
As it hid now in that little corner,
So many prancing pages of poetry.
(Could it be because that corner was much warmer?)
No longer in plain view, or even in plain sight,
Taking the place of the occult, withcraft, New Age stuff.
Imagine my woe, angst, consider the blight,
Trapsing through this huge store to find poetry, I must be daft!

LOL! Sounds like the Chapters bookstore chain here in Canada. Great selection of poetry...but first you gotta find the section.
