At the Wheel

by Matthew Taylor

whatever this life deals us,
no matter what the day brings..
we can be positive of maybe just one thing,
God is in control, of all, and everything..
today seems dark, hopeless, futile,
but deliverance is near~ do not fear.(ps23)
the horizon may be unclear, but help is on the way.
we are told to worry not about the struggles of this day.
death around us, sometimes very close,
others very ill, or sadness grips the soul.
every mountain we climb,
as we step from a hole..
we have an invisible hand reaching down to us,
to lead us to a rock.
no matter what, no matter who...
whatever the ordeal, take refuge, have hope,
for God is at the wheel.

Author's Note: just preaching to myself, as life's stuff has bogged me down again, my daughter broke her ankle at college, I've been sick again, and for the past 4 yrs. struggling with health issues, my wife supports me to a degree, there is always a limit to her compassion, God has no limits, so I rest in Him, and upon His word.

Amen and Amen! :) We all have to encourage ourselves once in a while, or regularly for that matter. But like the Word says "All things work to the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose".. thats you and thats me! :) Take care.. -Mel-
