DOUBLE TALK

by Charles E Minshall

They took leaves
To see fall leaves.
Enjoyed the leaves,
And enjoyed the leaves.

Aftermath after math,
And afterbirth after birth,
Gives me afterthought
After thought.

He saw the trees
But didn't saw the trees.

I had to do a double take on this one. Clever and thought provoking little piece, Charlie.

This is very clever. It says a lot about this crazy English language. Enjoyed!! Jane

Wonderful play on words! The English language is so much fun! It has to drive those new to the language up a wall! LOL!!
