no time for crying
by Kyle Anne Kishyesterday, when all the
dead leaves were raked,
loaded into plastic sacks
and put on the curb
for the garbage men,
i sighed what i hoped
would be my last sigh
of the day, broke open
a bottle of vino and
proceeded to celebrate
the end of another season.
much ado about nothing,
i thought, as i noticed
one crisp leaf float
unseemingly across my
driveway, as if to wave
its final good-bye.
i sighed another time.
season's change, live's
are rearranged. i poured
