Bedlam led to boredom
as all eight of my fingers
continued their tap tap
tapping on the table.

Don't try to hit me
where it hurts most
and expect any type
of reaction other
than ordering
out for Chinese food.

To eulogize and pestle
me into the ground
all in the same sentence
has become offensively
passe and, I'm sure,
Ms. Manners would
take an objectionable
stance on such.

Mark my words, underscore
them in red pen, then
highlight with yellow
marker if you must
and, in my mind, you
most certainly must
glide swiftly right back
into the meddlesome
heap you came
from by way of the
allegorical back door.
