In Brighton (2 Tanka) by Julie Adams
around the green trim
I followed a young turtle
king of the garden
lost in the dense foliage
solitude dances with wind
***
through my hair, gently
the beach oxygen wiggles
between locks and thoughts
in deep breaths, the children laugh
dragging buckets to the shore

Posted by Agnes Eva on 02/15/06 at 03:56 PM ooh I like these. very vivid. in each of them, you have the scene itself, and then this lovely sense of something bigger. they are very inspired. |
