Tattoo

by Soulo Jacob Bourgeau

Be the ink to cover my scars
In greens, deep reds obscure
Abrasions healed, perhaps forgotten
Tattooed the hue of your soul

Argh, this doesn't help my craving for a tattoo! ;-) Artistically, I think its lovely.. colorful and natural.

As a pretence let me declare my obsession for tattoos...Now that I've said that, I love the metaphoric use for living art (as I like to call those who are inked) I am impressed with your ability to say so much in so little. I feel this is extremely powerful and begs a deeply emotional response from its reader as all good art (poetry or not) does. Really...thanks

Yeah, I can relate...especially with the scars part. Congratulations on POTD!
