Love it! On to chapter two of the trilogy...(oh, and for some reason, the first line got Neil Diamond's 'Hooked on a feeling' stuck in my head. I know, it's silly).

HaHa! I know EXACTLY what you mean. Every time someone writes a haiku in my little poetry group, they say it's for me (because I usually have 1 or 2 every time we meet:) They're a good way to get your brain in gear for writing longer pieces.
