"Give, Sympathize, Control" or "Datta, Dayadhvam, Damyata" in Sanskrit is an allusion to the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Second Brahmana in the Rig Veda which relates the story of "What the Thunder Said" which is also referenced in T.S. Eliot's "The Wasteland"
