A Ray of Sun From A Heart of Gold

by JJ Johnson

There’s somethin’portant I hafta do
Ill be in for dinner as soon as Im through
Goin' outside to turn on the hose
Gonna spray the whole sky and hope that it shows

Expressing love coloring art
Reflecting the hue of my heart
If only this hose could squirt up that high
And I had enough water, I’d paint the sky

Hey mom, did you see my rainbow?
I guess I must be your pot of gold
Every time I see a smile that I brought
I Bemember that I am your happy thought

Oh, I love this! I use a hose a lot in my job during the summer. I will think of this poem often! You are a shining "pot of gold"! Love coloring the sky makes this mom's heart swell.

what a splash of sunshine caught within...nice light and airy read, left feeling as light as a child at play in the garden
