Soft Touch

by Kristina Woodhill

Sun so softly touches snow
Seeking firm fields, white and wide
Broadly grins at Moon’s shy glow
As they plan tonight’s sleigh ride.

I love the way you give nature and earth to us in your writing. I love just the wholesome peace I feel in this poem. Thank you very much...

Nothing like their collaboration to improve the days and nights. Fine poem...Charlie

This made me think of the song Soft Touch by George Harrison, though possibly not for the reasons you may have written it for. To me, this is about the anticipation of two in love, waiting for the time when they lie together in soft white sheets and are not ready for sleep. JJ

Oh what a beautiful piece this is, and how soft and alive the personifications of the sun and moon...that last line is such a delightful surprise, so unexpected and yet brings a perfect harmony to the piece, and between the sun and moon...simply beautiful Kristina. High marks :-)

This made me feel so mellow and smiling inside. I wanted to snuggle under a lap rug, bundled up in winter fur... with someone I love. WOW.... I like it!
