time well spent

by Mary Ellen Smith

time spent with a child

is time well spent.

a little hand to hold,

a game to play.

sitting close

laughing

talking

snoozing a bit perhaps.

(kids and grandma's need a nap)

and then there were those words

that made my heart leap.

"Did you always know you wanted to be a Grandma?"

Loved the poem Mar. Sounded like so much fun for a grandma. Spoil them then send them home to their mother and father.....Charlie

Tenderly expressed, sentimental but at the heart of what relationship is all about between adults and their offspring or offspring's offspring! :)
