Made to Believe

by Lacy D Phillips

I was not made to be adored
but to work,
to be hands and feet
and swollen eyes
of an omni-existant lord.
I was not made to be ignored
but to speak, pray, listen and absorb.
I was not made to be praised
but to praise and be patient.
I was not made to find love
for it is mine already
by default of my creation.
I was made to ask.
I was made to seek.
I was made to knock.

I really like how you convey imagery using many verbs rather than many adjectives!
