]+untitled+[ by Shayla R CakesWhen I was a little girl I was often asked
"Shayla, what do you want to be when you grow up?"
My answer was always career based --
I want to be a teacher, a rockstar, a baker, a retail slave, a meteorologist, a writer
Or any of those fantasy jobs little girls often have
And as time goes by I realize that there are three things I want to be
Happy
Loved
and
Beautiful 01/09/2006

Posted by Richard Vince on 12/19/20 at 12:34 AM it's strange how so much of the time we consider the essence of who we are to be merely the way we sell our labour. :) a very worthy POTD. i hope that, nearly fifteen years on, you are happy and loved (like Kristina said, you were already beautiful). |
