a fun and upbeat early tribute from you to Layton's inspiration, so many of us here in Canada and the world, benefit from. Kudos. I'm sure his old sense of humour in poetry would've loved this.

My knowledge of notable poets (that is well known in academic or published circles) who are our contemporaries is abysmal. I am sure you have written a very appropriate tribute.

Absolutely love it; left with a smile on my face!

Good poem Chris. Reminds me of my poem At The Poets Ball....Charlie

I immediately ran and got out my new (very large) bodhran (Celtic drum). Deep strong dancing rhythms in your poem, and a wonderful tribute. It would be great to perform this with your poem in the progrem as the (silent) text!
