White Wilderness by Hartwell DavisThe winter freeze has come at last
In the land of seal and bear
The wind sounds like a trumpet blast
And snow rides on the air.
The wilderness has turned from green
To a snowy white
Cold and icy rivers freeze
And day is turned to night.
Ice cycles hang from roofs above
From rocky ledges high
Now I see the scene I love
When the wilderness is white.
