White Wilderness

by Hartwell Davis

The winter freeze has come at last
In the land of seal and bear
The wind sounds like a trumpet blast
And snow rides on the air.

The wilderness has turned from green
To a snowy white
Cold and icy rivers freeze
And day is turned to night.

Ice cycles hang from roofs above
From rocky ledges high
Now I see the scene I love
When the wilderness is white.

I see your winter scene thru your eyes...

Nicely done. I especially like the trumpet blast of wind and the snow riding on the air. Thank you. Congrats on POTD!
