The Eyes Reflect When They See Beauty by Curt Alldaythe lights have been lowered
the song has been continued
even as it was forseen
to extinguish earlier than
the lights beckoning and exaggerating,
the tremor of
his heart beating fast
in comparison,
in lieu of,
her touch gracing his cheeks
to the beat
to the beat of this heart
blasting off like fireworks
its cinders coloring the heavens above where
hidden between clouds
he hides her
countenance as
the stars make great cover,
the bushy branches of their flames
signifies
identifies
an agreement made the minute
she stumbled onto those isolated forest trails
as its path
was momentous moonlight
promising of a sparkle
to occur with streaks and blurs,
as the eyelids reflect,
when they see the face of beauty
he's been abandoned
in the maze of her heart and mind
where he cannot find an exit
to her entrance
only deadends and new beginnings
dwell in the shroud of her smile
as it seems like living on an island
who's reptiles are defeated by
the simple mention of her name
the same
as yours
in fact
he does not agree
the fee
is not too tall
but the memory
extremely short
as you
drove away with honks and horns
the storm has not retreated
since those eyes escaped
over the miles
to the comfort of your apartment room
while
on this island
the typhoon will not
end soon enough
till you transverse and swim an ocean of confusion
to discover
this moment in time
together
