Australia

by Charles E Minshall

Wombats and Aborigines
Kangaroos and indigenes,
Australia's a different
Kind of place.

The outback, the billabong
And weird things
That hop along. Australia
Has a different kind of face.

I bet Australians
Are glad for gravity,
I know I'd be thankful
If they were me.

Charlie, you never fail to bring a smile to my face and laughter to my heart. I'm sure the Aussie's love you, too.
My oh My! Where would those kangaroos and wallabies be if not for Newton's gravity?
ooooooh, that's bad! ;-)

this is a wonderful light-hearted and refreshing break from the heavy we so often see on this sight. a playful piece that makes me want to jump ship and head for the great outback. a pleasant read indeed!

haha. This is brilliant, Charlie. Perhaps it could supplant "Advance Australia Fair" as our national anthem. I do thank God for gravity too. This reminds me of Dean Martin'd definition of being sober ie: "I'm sober as long as I can hold onto the floor, lying down." Yes, we do thank God for gravity...

:) Just what I needed - to fall into the arms of laughter at the end of a hard day. Thank you
