The Seed of Love

by Diane Paley Davis

The moment I saw you, I knew you would be
The love of my life – God sent you to me
In His infinite wisdom, the Lord saw my need
He opened my heart, then He planted a seed

Now that seed’s taken root, and how it has grown
Into blossoms of love like none other has known
You’re the love of my life – that cannot be denied
I promise to always remain at your side

God brought us together through the miracle of love
And gave us His blessings, sent from above
Together we will serve Him much better, you see
Than if we'd stayed apart. Now don't you agree?

Text aptly reflects its title and vise versa. How my mother also used to explain the birds and bees when I was a child and asked where I came from.
