A Letter For When I Miss You by Britt ZimmermanThe sky outside is gray today
sprinkled with the intermittent
trails of puffy white
and the air feels heavy beneath its blanket
I could go light up a smoke
or find my way through piles of boxes
that have temporarily trapped our life
but I am listening to The Cure on the radio
If you were here
we might be building desks
or cleaning this mornings dishes
or talking about Howard Stern
and I am thinking more and more
about how much I like us
the way we kiss, touch, love
The way everyday is an adventure in the ordinary
and every night is sentiment and steam
I guess its all alright when your gone
Just hurry and find your way back.
