The Red Roads Of Utah by Jersey D GibsonRoadway sweeping under me,
amber waves cascading to my sides.
Mountains distant with haze,
sun peaking out in the sky.
Craggy face of a rock monument,
showing the awesome force of nature.
Winding road skirts majestic beauty,
as red as the vistas it encounters.
Snow-peaked caps like icing on the cake,
sands and rocks littering the earth.
So far to travel from here to fro,
but so much to see. 11/04/2005
Author's Note: The first time I traveled cross-country (I was like 7) I went through some part of Utah, where the highway was a reddish-copper color. It's one of the memories that has never left me.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 11/04/05 at 05:45 PM Refreshingly different change of style and direction Jers'. And quite the visual piece thanks to your descriptiveness. Have a great weekend despite your location. :o) |
