...lines... by Charlie Morgan i'm gonna start my poem with this line.
then, i'll break a space
[for the pondering thought of the reader]
and put another line here,
[to continue the reader's thought]
and then i'll the end
the first stanza with
this short line.
so now i'll switch mind-sets
[of the unsuspecting reader]
and make a question mark
out of a colon,
and all of this is done
by adding these last
two lines
like
this.
i'm a neophyte-surgeon, reaching
into your head and stirring
all your thoughts around
by adding this line and
the next two
but
with
an
extra space
for EMPHASIS.
then i'll close with this line.
[and sigh from having changed the world.] 11/03/2005
