You Cover The Earth With Your Sunrise/Sunset Smile

by Curt Allday

You cover the earth
With the beams
From your eyes
Spinning me into hysterics
Crazy fits
While the wine baby
Lifts off onto vines hanging from
The ceilings as if I became
A prisoner
trapped
In your dreams . . .

constantly

I wish to know
what peeks inside you
know who has unlocked how your
mind processes
while staring so long at me
as I wish to relive
that
stunning, lavender smile
over and over
blanketing and
taking these times
and replicating them
with your good graces

having this much fun
cannot be done
like running in
goden gate park
with the sun out and above
your hair grasps out at me
lunges
yet you always pull back
always there for the taking,
but
always the wrong plan of attack
as I am running my hands over
your flowing tresses
I guess I glimpsed all that I am
never distressed, never distraught
Instead of telling you.
I conveyed it here in some stream of thought

these days there are laughs only I can have with you
so before you take off
As you said you would do

Would you,
for a moment,

just smile

Author's Note: I wrote this for a girl I am pretty crazy over. I hate love poems and shit, but I am simply writing how I feel. It will never hit her hands or wander into her ears witht he guidance of my voice but its the though that counts not trying to artistic only personal
