Posted by Rula Shin on 10/19/05 at 08:08 PM For me this is meaningful in that it is conscious of the cyclical nature of dark and light and all its symbolic extensions, within us as well as without. This illustrates awareness of the meaninglessness, the monotony, and the inevitable approach of a natural need to FIND meaning subjectively, realizing (if we can) that objectivity is no option. In any case, what black or white, dark or light signify to me are two poles, the state of being vs non being, death vs life, consciousness vs lack of consciousness, "I am the cycle re-inventing the will not to seek conflict" - indeed it is a paradox that any cycle (which is predictable in its cyclical nature) is yet riddled with paradoxes and dualities within, so utterly unpredictably predictable depending on the level of subjectivity, am I within the cycle, on its periphery, or have I completely transcended it? hahahaha I would could either be surprised or not surprised, dear Laura, that you make (or not) ups or downs of this comment of mine, but know that I am aware of your awareness, and conscious of, at least, the cycle of struggle. |

...I am the cycle
re-inventing the will
not to seek
conflict"
...but i see you/Everyman in all the previous lines, like Chris S. says...you could be me describing "a day in the life of..."gorgeous work...peace, chaz |
