Forgery by Kristi PaikThe cover
glitter, balloons and a smiling face.
Clouds spell "Happy Birthday my daughter"
Inside; the card is blank
except two words-
love, daddy
scribbled slopply in mom's handwriting. 09/19/2005 Posted on 09/19/2005 Copyright © 2025 Kristi Paik

Posted by JJ Johnson on 09/20/05 at 04:09 AM I have mixed emotions, wondering if daddy isn't there of his own will or was he taken away? No matter, it is all too common that children are growing up without fathers. I have seen the sadness in many children on Father's Day when they have no one to give a card with their name written inside. A powerful poem no matter which cause has effected your lives. JJ |
