but is this succinct definition "the lie"? is the artist here lying to expose truth, flipping this little nugget on its head? when I read this, its like looking at a mirror in a mirror. what's that say about truth and lies? my head hurts.

Your poem of just the right length delivers one of those refreshing an ah-has! that makes reading poetry fun and profound at the same time. I like what Jim said above too. What YOUR poems so often do to me is to flip me on my head on your head... which is a hellofa circus.

Very interesting concept, I am going to have to meditate in this for some time. Is it really a lie, or just another view of the truth? Hmmm, you had to go and make me rethink my definition of art. I don't know if I agree or not, but when I decide, I may have to write a poem about it myself. JJ
