Your Precious Light

by Chris Sorrenti

Don’t shut me out from your precious light
I need it to help find my way
      I know I’m different
      Radically different
Though in other ways
Radically the same

So let’s plant ourselves in the common ground
Teaching one another the inverse plan
And you can use my sight
      To show you the way
In friendship we can beat the darkness

For there’s another radically different
      Than we combined
      Waiting to enlighten us
      Somewhere up ahead
Beyond this nightfall
Where the light shines eternally

a long-time fav. of mine, of yours, Chris. May we all shed a glorious light for others' paths. It's like what I was reading in the bible late light night. Beautiful. And of course, we have to light our paths ourselves too. Something I've learned the hardest ways.

yes, this is how we grow, changing our roles from active to passive to active with that ever present awareness at large,' Somewhere up ahead Beyond this nightfall Where the light shines eternally'

"So let’s plant ourselves in the common ground Teaching one another the inverse plan" - indeed we should seek the light in each other and not the darkness, make the light our common ground. Only then can we hope to grow, only then can we establish a true brotherhood of man.

Lots of hope expressed, especially with close friend or friends, to help along the way. Very optimistic and encouraging.
