four haiku by Jim Benz
ripples cross
the reflection of her face
watching water bugs
so many fireflies
blinking on the forest edge
campfire flickers
my old red truck
idles by the bee yard
next to bear scat
an old clothes line
bends beneath a heavy load
ripe with grapes

Posted by Glenn Currier on 09/03/05 at 03:43 AM Beautiful imagery and word combinations. You serve the haiku form well. I could hear those water bugs in rhythm with the idle. Well done, indeed. |
