ink spots

by Shonda Chrissonberry

i keep writing letters
to you
of us
from my heart

i place them inside
safe

waiting for that moment
when you will discover them

sealed with a love that has never wavered
hopeful that one day its
penned affections will be answered

forever yours

Shon, sad and beautiful sentiments, expressing what never might be heard, yet keeping them there in case the opportunity ever becomes available. It will, although it may come unexpectedly from a different direction. Keep your heart and mind open to all possibilities. ;-)

It leaves me hoping, for the sake of the narrator, that they are discovered and requited!
