gathering silence.

by Andrew S Adams

the air says everything and
voices nothing, the dreamstate
broken only by the occasional
breath on the nape of the neck

we do not talk
not because we have
nothing to say but
no way to say it
nor cause to break the silence;

a silent peace pervades
over the room, as the dim lights
brighten the slight darkness
othehrwise neglected by all.

You really bring the reader into this moment. Non-verbal communication is very powerful.. great read :)
