Spirit Ride

by Kate Demeree

Wind kissed
Sun warmed
Your skin invitedÂ…
Touch

Tentative fingers
Achingly alive
Trace electric outlines
Across your silken fields

Tingling pulses
From tip to palm
Heat my body
Emotions storm

Enveloping, consuming
As trustingly
I embrace
Your form

'Enveloping, consuming As trustingly I embrace'...this beautiful depiction of the spirit ride. These lines speak so well for my own intake of this beautiful piece.

Beautiful in sentiment and in form, Kate. It's nice to see you post again...:)

i love the intensity and the brevity of the form..the beauty of the words has always been a hallmark of your poetry!

another one for the ages. Kate you have a way with words and are the most gentle and tender concerning their welfare and were I a word, know that I would be treated accordingly. for your soul and demeanor is innately sweet.
