Seasoning

by Robert Cameron Hazelton

The August moon is waning,
a somber silver glow
that softens the remaining
moments ere you go.

I see the solstice in your eyes,
a subject beyond broaching
and whisper bittersweet goodbyes
with autumn fast approaching.

Congrats on POTD! This has a very quiet feel to it, like the inevitability of change. Nice job.

The changing of the seasons is so symbolic for me these days, and I love the admiration expressed here with words of the sky and momentous shifts that happen, a season passed is one worth mourning. Congratulations on POTD!! This one is certainly awesome!!!
