I See You (Part III)

by Uriel Tovar

the day that i lived

the sun was blue

and swallowed up the sea.

it belched the stars

out

like hot phlegm

coughed by an old man with bronchitis.

i sang that day

a song by elliott, "I Didn't

Understand."

i didn't either but

i knew i wouldn't.

the day that i decided to live,

the world crumbled

                           i stood on what remained.

A trilogy which remains very haunting indeed, Uriel. However, I like how you tied everything up nicely in this piece. I loved much of your phrasing and the sad pictures which my mind drew were complimentary of your words. I have never written a continutation piece before, but you have spurred my thoughts in such a direction.

it's unreal, and you say it well
