Bitter Hands by Jersey D GibsonSoft skin surronded by swirls,
life lines defined, fingerprint you.
Feel your plans on the back of my hands,
wrapping you in my comforting warmth.
Why leave this nest for another mess,
or so I say to myself.
Twisted thoughts like the fingers of a puppetmaster,
like a blind man running his hands on broken glass.
Salt and tears hold no fears,
as I wipe the streams from your eyes.
Gloves like disguise you can't dispise,
soft leather protecting me from your touch.
If dreams could tell I'd wish you well,
as I feel the embrace of bitter hands.
Sliding along my body over smooth waters,
any ship's captain can pilot a calm sea.
Grab and pull 'till you're full,
clenching what is yours.
Take what's yours' I'll take what's mine,
static touch leaves me fussing all over.
Emotions run hot as I am caught,
your graceful hands grip me tighter.
Your arms miss my touch as I leave,
bitter hands wave in a good-bye. 06/23/2005 Author's Note: About a relationship. Good times are always easy, but will you stick together when dark times arrive? Thank you, my love.
