when silence amplifies
every noise that is made
because you've run out of things
that you can't say, it dawns on
me that mind-reading is not
my specialty, and i am a loss

so when i do finally spit out
whatever meaningless words i can find
i am weakened by the heavy noises of nothing
and i sound completely lost-
because, surprisingly,
i am.
