raining in anchorage by Morgan D Hafelei can't sleep in the summer
'cuz the sun never sets
-and it's raining in anchorage-
baby...
whirlwind colors
in a blender-sucking oxygen
from lungs dreaming of breathing-in
the light
and -these sleepless nights-
lead longer days
in... to... a... severe...
lack of romance.
-and i'm always left wanting-
more from a dream
i'm learning to forget
she said she'd wait. forever
now i look in those eyes
plastered innocently
-enough- on this dead photo
of you
...and i don't sleep in the summer
'cuz the sun never sets
-like your eyes never close.-
and it's raining in anchorage... baby? 06/02/2005 Author's Note: bleh... i tried, but the words and i, we just haven't been getting along very well lately. to tell the truth, i'm worried about a divorce coming soon. the reason: irreconcilable differences.

Posted by Christina Bruno on 06/03/05 at 01:36 AM me and words are having some problems now too...my brain is shot from bio class =( but don't worry, your words are pretty good here and its almost like a good song on the radio that the majority of the population just wouldn't understand ;) |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 07/22/05 at 02:04 PM I think you deserve an 'E' for effort for this one Morgan. A sound concept...great lyrical hook at the very start, that pulled me right in and kept me going. Stands well enough on its own, and with the right musical accompanyment, Top 30 material for sure. |
