Memorial by Lori I WolfeWithin the prisms of thy pyramid
Thy taste not the bitter sweet kiss
Nor will thy feel the ocean waves
Or see the setting of the sun
For a life once was, has come undone
The wall of deception, a prison cell
Blocks the vision of the light within
Denying suffocates thy lung of breath
Darkness rolls with euphonys thunder
Entombing a sprightliness farther under
Drifting now inside shadows mist
Dissimulation, embalming thy intent
Journeys deep into a state of reprieve
Warding thy delusional perception
Presently blocking thy reception
Home is thy swarthiness covered arena
Blackening thy separate passageway
To desires of thy hidden heart
Speaks not with thy flawed tongue
For the Day of darkness now has sung
Drowning inside a pool of contempt
Thy soul fills with elements of stain
Absorbing thy smoldering flame
Frosting thy weakened essence
No more will thy inhale thy presence05/29/2005 Posted on 05/30/2005 Copyright © 2024 Lori I Wolfe
